A video shows a Louisiana woman dragging a bucket containing the body of her boyfriend’s killed 6-year-old daughter before dumping it outside the girl’s mother’s home.

Bunnak “Hannah” Landon, 43, was charged with first-degree murder and obstruction of justice after she was seen carrying the chlorine bucket in a cart at 9:30 p.m. in the New Orleans neighborhood of Harahan. The 25th of April.

The body of Bella Fontenelle, who had been battered and strangled, was discovered inside, according to the New Orleans Advocate, quoting Jefferson Parish Coroner Gerry Cvitanovich.

Landon lived on Donelon Drive with Bella’s father and younger sister, where she allegedly murdered the girl before dumping her body in a bucket and transporting it to neighboring Sedgfield Drive.

Bella and his girlfriend were reported missing to police at 7:30 a.m. by Bella’s father, who has not been identified. Sheriff Joseph Lopinto told WDSU on Wednesday, April 26.

Police began an inquiry and proceeded to the biological mother’s house, where they discovered the bucket on the front lawn about an hour later.

“When they opened up the bucket, they found the 6-year-old deceased,” Lopinto told the Advocate.

Investigators investigated the area and collected surveillance footage from many homes, including one showing a lady matching Landon’s description wheeling the bucket.

She was apprehended at a local hospital about 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

Landon was sent to the hospital for evaluation after showing up at the Harahan Police Department, according to the sheriff’s office. It was unclear why she was being evaluated.

Lopinto believes neither of Bella’s original parents were involved in the heinous murder.

The preliminary examination revealed Bella died from “manual strangulation along with blunt force injuries to the head,” according to Cvitanovich, the coroner.

“I want to add that Bella’s body was intact and, contrary to public speculation, there was no dismemberment of any kind,” he stated. “Child deaths are always tragic, especially ones that should not have occurred.” To be honest, it’s really personal for all of us.”

According to court documents from 2021 obtained by WDSU, Landon was identified as a suspect in a country club incident that resulted in damage to Bella’s mother’s face and hands.

Landon was charged with simple battery, but the outcome of the case is unknown after she obtained a temporary restraining order against the child’s mother, claiming she worried she would suffer injury, loss, or damage, according to the source.
