International music star, Ayodeji Balogun, professionally known as Wizkid took to social media on Wednesday to announce that his much anticipated “More Love, Less Ego tour” will be postponed till Fall 2023.
The artist was initially set to arrive in 20 locations nationwide this upcoming spring
“Due to unexpected circumstances the Wizkid – More Love, Less Ego Tour has been postponed till Fall 2023,” stated the message on the artist’s Instagram stories. “All tickets bought for the previously planned events will be honoured on the rescheduled dates at the relevant venues. Keep tuned for additional information.”
The Nigerian artist had previously announced a collection of North American tour dates for the release of his fifth studio album of the same name and was set to appear in 20 locations stateside this next spring.
In November, fresh after his sold-out Madison Square Garden concert, Wizkid appeared on The Tonight Show and performed his hit “Money & Love” from his most recent Record, which came that month.
“These are deep, inspiring songs from Afrobeats’ top performers. He’s all about dropping heat, even as he continues to evolve,” Rolling Stone wrote of the album, the follow-up to his 2020 breakout Made in Lagos.
The More Love, Less Ego tour was initially supposed to take off on March 3 with a gig at Houston’s Toyota Center. The tour includes stops in Dallas, Orlando, Miami, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Montreal, Toronto, Detroit, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco, Phoenix, and more. It is presently unknown whether the postponed Fall 2023 tour would cover the same cities.
