Winners of 2022 Best FIFA Awards announced

On Monday night, the winners of the 2022 Best FIFA Awards were announced.

Lionel Messi and Alexia Putellas took home the top two individual awards at the Paris ceremony.

Messi was named Men’s Player of the Year in 2022, beating out PSG teammate Kylian Mbappe and Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.

Putellas won the Women’s Player award for the second year in a row, beating out Alex Morgan and Beth Mead.
