Unidentified individuals set fire to the properties of Motailatu Church of God, Oke-Idahun Parish, which is located along Imafon Road in Akure North Local Government.
Reverend David Akinadewo, the church’s resident minister, claimed the attack occurred over the weekend.
According to him, the altar was shattered, with broken bottles littering the church auditorium and plastic chairs and offering trays set ablaze on church grounds.
“Other areas damaged were the church’s prayer room and the tithe box,” he said, emphasizing that the incident had been reported to the Oda Divisional Police Headquarters.
