If Chris Brown returns to the United Kingdom, he is supposedly facing arrest for an alleged nightclub attack.
Brown, 34, is accused of smashing a bottle over a producer’s head earlier this year at London’s famed Tape nightclub.
Despite pledges to authorities that he would cooperate and submit to questioning after his UK tour concluded on March 29, he promptly left and is believed to be back in the US, according to inside sources.
Brown is thought to be well aware of the perilous predicament that awaits him if he returns to the United Kingdom. His concerns are reported to extend to any country with which the UK has an extradition pact.
According to the source, it is also unknown how Brown was allowed to leave the UK in the first place.
The claimed assault occurred on February 19 at Tape nightclub and injured the victim, who was a member of Brown’s entourage.
The victim told The Sun on Sunday that he was attacked with a bottle by the rap artist himself.
Brown was barred from entering the United Kingdom following his widely publicized assault on former lover Rihanna in 2010. Former Home Secretary Priti Patel lifted the prohibition in 2020.
According to the source, British officials may be ‘too ashamed’ to arrest Brown because the Government elected to let him back in.
‘Two individuals were scheduled to appear at a police station for a voluntary interview on March 29 but did not appear,’ according to the Met.
‘Enquiries are being conducted to locate them.’
Chris Brown appeared to speak out earlier this month over an alleged brawl at his birthday party involving Usher.
Brown, 34, appeared to deny anything transpired between him and the 44-year-old singer in an Instagram message that was supposedly from him and published by a Twitter fan account.
Brown commented, ‘yall been geeked all weekend, y’all dragging it now. Backstage, it was chaos, and security was attempting to clear everyone off the stage. People began to push back. I interjected to inform them that MY CHILD WAS BACK THERE. So you can keep your story going.’
