Rihanna Claims Welcoming a Baby with A$AP Rocky Has ‘Made Us Closer’: ‘We’re Best Friends’ The couple is parents to a 9-month-old baby boy and now expecting another kid
Rihanna is talking about the unique closeness she feels with A$AP Rocky since becoming parents.
The “Diamonds” singer, who just confirmed she’s expecting her second baby, appears on the March cover of British Vogue alongside boyfriend A$AP Rocky and their 9-month-old son.
In the wide-ranging conversation, the artist explained how her dynamic has evolved since she and Rocky, both 34, welcomed their newborn boy in May.
“We’re best friends with a baby,” she remarked. “We have to be on the same page, but we’ve always sort of had that in our relationship. Everything changes when you have a kid but I wouldn’t say it’s done anything except brought us closer.
“She also underlined the “undeniable” relationship Rocky feels with the newborn, whose name they have yet to release.
“I’m simply sitting on the sidelines while they’re together,” she revealed. “I’m trying to get into the guys club, waiting for my time. He is infatuated with his father. And I’m like: ‘Didn’t I give birth to you? What is going on?’ ”
“Their bond is unmistakable. The second Rocky makes eye contact with him he is on fire. The entire stuff they say about sons and mothers, it’s fiction. Sons and dads are ridiculous,” she said. “I discovered that the approval that you need as a guy comes from your father.”
The soon-to-be mom of two, who revealed that she’s pregnant again while acting as the halftime singer for the 2023 Super Bowl on Sunday, enthused that even her tiny child dressed like his dad.
“One of my favourite clothes he has is a small imitation of one of Rocky’s,” she said. “I prefer to outfit him in stuff that doesn’t appear like baby clothing. I like to push it. I put him in flowery things. I put him in bright pink. I adore that. I believe that flexibility in fashion is ideal.”
A source previously revealed that Rihanna doesn’t intend on stopping at two children.
