Shy Glizzy, a rapper, was arrested over the weekend for allegedly drawing a gun on his girlfriend and threatening to harm her.
According to law enforcement sources, Shy was detained on Saturday, May 13, following a verbal confrontation with his on-again, off-again girlfriend that police said escalated to the point where Shy grabbed a pistol and threatened her.
The claimed incident occurred around 9 a.m. on Saturday on a public roadway, and Shy fled following the argument. West Hollywood Sheriff’s Deputies were called in, and a criminal report was filed. Shy was eventually apprehended about 6 p.m.
Shy Glizzy was detained on a felony charge of making criminal threats and freed after around 4 hours behind bars on a $50,000 bond, according to documents.
Shy was caught without a gun, and he denied ever threatening his girlfriend, with whom he had been dating on and off for four months.
The case is still being investigated.
