Caleeb Pinkett Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith’s brother, is going through a divorce.
According to court documents acquired by PEOPLE, Caleeb’s wife Patricia Pinkett Smith filed for divorce in Los Angeles on Monday, Oct. 16.
According to court filings, the pair had been married since 2006 and divorced in February 2020.
Patricia stated “irreconcilable differences” as the cause of their divorce.
Caila Koren Pinkett Smith, Caleeb’s 11-year-old daughter with Patricia, is a performer and producer.
Patricia is demanding that the former couple share joint legal and physical custody of their daughter, as well as spousal support from Caleeb and that the court suspend its ability to award spousal support to Caleeb.
Patricia had a close relationship with Caleeb’s sister Jada and her family. She posted a selfie of herself with Jada to her Instagrak page in May. The photo was of her and her soon-to-be ex-sister-in-law.
“Nothing But Extreme Gratitude For My Soul Sis @jadapinkettsmith,” she captioned the picture. “Love You To Infinity And Beyond.”
Will Smith’s ex-wife Sheree Zampino, with whom he has a son, Trey Smith, also connected with Patricia on social media in May.
“She cute!!!” Sheree, 55, commented on a photo of Patricia at a music event.
Caleeb’s divorce announcement comes just days after Jada, 52, revealed in an interview with Today that she and Will, 55, have been separated for seven years.
