Olumba Obu invites Igbo nation to emancipation, spiritual repositioning session

Following repeated complaints from Igbo leaders over alleged marginalization, important spiritual leader and founder of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, has called Igbo leaders to a special meeting in Calabar.

The concerns resurfaced following the presidential election, in which an Igbo son, Peter Obi, is supposed to have scored well save for polling unit results that were reportedly concealed.

The spiritual leader has organized a special gathering for May 14 at his offices on Ambo Street in Calabar, according to a statement released by the organization’s spokesperson on Saturday night.

According to the announcement, “The Holy Father, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, has officially called on the entire Igbo race for a ‘Emancipation and Spiritual Repositioning Special Session’ with him on Saturday, 22nd April 2023.”

When delivering his goodbye message to commemorate the end of the spiritual organization’s Easter Pentecostal Convention, the spiritual leader was described as mentioning the special meeting.

“The worries of the Igbo Nation have reached the throne of God, and it is time to turn things around for all children of Igboland, which is the reason for this special invitation,” he reportedly declared.

The statement encouraged all children of God in Igboland, both faithful and non-adherents, to attend the conference.

Many people believed that meeting with the spiritual leader would help Igbos plan a better way.
