During an interview, the former National Secretary of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) revealed this.
Galadima was asked about the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) Naira redesign policy.
The chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, responded by stating that the party had already taken a strong stance on the issue.

According to Galadima, the CBN Act requires that any naira redesign be completed within a six-month period.
According to the statesman, the government approved the policy because many people had accumulated the currency in their homes.
He went on to say:
I concur. According to intelligence, there is a governor in the Northwestern region who possesses approximately N22 billion in old currency.
Yes, N22 billion is stacked in his house as we speak. He understands himself. And the security services are aware.
Galadima speculated that the agencies may be turning a blind eye because.
Perhaps they are members of the same club or they are protecting him.
The politician went on to say that the trap is for the governor to go change the cash he has amassed through corruption.
CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele said a fortnight ago that the old N200, N500, and N1000 denominations were recalled because N2.7 trillion was kept in people’s homes before the Buhari administration took over.
