Passengers aboard a Nigerian Air Force flight panicked on Monday when the aircraft crash-landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
A source stated the aircraft crash-landed on Runway 18R at the airport on Monday.
It was revealed there were six individuals on board and that there were no injuries.
“Airforce plane crash-lands at Lagos airport at Runway 18R,” the insider claimed.
“It had a landing gear malfunction, meaning the tires refused to come out for landing. The pilot landed the plane in the bush, a brilliant choice.
“Six persons were on board; they are all safe.”
Similarly, in July 2019, a serious aviation tragedy was avoided at the airport when a B737 aircraft belonging to Air Peace Airlines lost one of its front tyres.
The jet, which had no less than 133 people on board, had just landed from Rivers State. It crashed-landed while the pilot sought to handle the situation.
No casualty was reported in the event.
Emergency workers were allegedly on the scene to keep the situation under control.
