Victor Osimhen of Napoli and the Super Eagles of Nigeria will earn an extra €260,000 (N120m) if he scores 30 goals for the Parthenopeans in the 2022/23 season.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 24-year-old activated his contract’s goals bonus after scoring his 20th goal of the season, earning him €130,000. (N64m).
Osimhen scored in Napoli’s 2-0 Champions League round of 16 win over Eintracht Frankfurt, bringing his tally for the 2022/23 season to 20 and unlocking the €130,000 bonus (N63.6m).

The Edo-born striker has been instrumental in keeping Napoli atop Serie A this season, scoring 21 goals and providing four assists in 25 games for the Naples-based club.
The Napoli forward’s contract includes a clause that allows him to earn an additional €130,000 if he scores 25 goals and an additional €130,000 if he scores 30 goals this season.
“He (Osimhen) has already received his first contractual bonus, which included a €130,000 bonus for achieving 20 goals. However, at this rate, Victor risks incurring blows because the same figure begins at the 25th and 30th goals,” La Gazzetta hello Sport reported.
“Objectives that become decidedly within the reach of a great striker who has achieved these 21 goals in just 25 games. There are at least 15 challenges ahead, and they may grow to 17, with the goal of reaching 20.
Osimhen has scored in all eight of his Serie A appearances this season, totaling 19 goals in 20 league games.
He could help the Partenopei win their first Scudetto in over three decades.
