Meghan Markle is accused of faking interviews for her axed Spotify podcast

Meghan Markle has been accused of having producers interview guests on her podcast, Archetypes, before editing her own questions into the audio track.

Podnews said that “some interviews on the show were done by other staffers, with questions edited-in afterwards.”

The charges came only days after it was disclosed that the Sussexes’ $20 million arrangement with Spotify had ended in a’mutual agreement,’ according to podcast-focused outlet Podnews.

According to Podnews,’multiple sources’ have alleged that’some interviews on the show were done by other staffers, with questions edited in afterwards,’ however the site does not name any specific episodes where this may have occurred.

During its one-season run, Meghan’s 12-episode podcast included a slew of high-profile guests, including Mariah Carey, Serena Williams, and Mindy Kaling.

While Meghan may have interviewed numerous high-profile guests for the radio show, this is not the first time that questions have been raised regarding her involvement in the interview process for other Archetypes guests.

In August of last year, podcast guest Allison Yarrow, a writer from New York, said that when she was interviewed for the show, she didn’t actually speak to Meghan, but rather an employee of her production firm.

Allison, who featured on an edition of the show titled To ‘B’ or Not to ‘B’? in where she ‘explored the genesis and epidemic’ of the word b***h, said in a social media post released shortly after her interview that she spoke with an audio producer named Farrah Safarfi.

Allison posted a photo of herself in front of a Gimlet sign, an audio production company, and thanked Farrah in the caption for being such a “excellent interviewer.”

The decision to cancel the Duchess of Cambridge’s female-focused podcast came after reports that Spotify was in talks about resuming the series, but those talks appear to have stopped.
