According to authorities, a New York man tragically murdered his sister after he “abruptly” pulled into oncoming traffic before smashing into her vehicle.

 

According to New York state authorities, Dahlia Klink, 24, and two youngsters were killed in the incident after their 2005 Ford Focus collided head-on with the 2006 Dodge Ram driven by her brother, 21-year-old Evan Klink.

 

Molly Kibler, 6, and Havanah Lopez, 17, were pronounced dead at the scene on Freedom Road in Freedom on Saturday afternoon, June 17, while Dahlia Klink died from her injuries at Erie County Medical Center on Sunday.

Following the incident, a 4-year-old passenger in the Ford was also taken to the hospital with critical injuries.

Meanwhile, driver Evan Klink was treated for injuries and sent to the Warsaw state police station, according to state police.


Cameron Klink, a 19-year-old passenger in the Dodge automobile, was flown to a hospital by helicopter with significant injuries.

 

State detectives are still looking into how the incident occurred, but witnesses told police that the Dodge pickup truck “abruptly” into the oncoming lane, but it’s unclear if he did so on purpose, a state police representative told The Post on Monday.

The speed at which Evan Klink was traveling is also being investigated as the state police’s crash reconstruction team examines physical evidence from Evan Klink’s vehicle, according to the spokeswoman.

According to the spokeswoman, state police are collaborating with the Cattaraugus County District Attorney’s Office to get a subpoena for the driver’s blood from the hospital where he sought medical assistance.

The small village of less than 3,000 people is in shock and mourning as a result of the horrific catastrophe.

 

“It hit me when I heard it was brother and sister. “I couldn’t believe it,” Sue Fish, a Freedom resident, told WKBW.

 

“How is the truck driver going to live with himself and the rest of his family now?”
