A “distraught” woman has filed a police report against a man who took her wig off in the streets of New York City for no apparent reason.
A local artist named Lizzy Ashliegh, who is Black, filed the complaint with the NYPD on Sunday, May 28. The incident is classified as a misdemeanour assault, and Ashliegh claims she received a small damage on her neck.
When she made the report, Ashliegh denied medical attention, but she later claimed on social media that she had visited a doctor and that her report had initiated an investigation. She identified the culprit as Anthony Orlich, a lawyer whose legal company has recently fired him.

In the footage, woman can be seen constantly begging the man why he took her wig. Friends of Orlich were spotted pleading with him to apologise, but to no effect. Orlich has not responded publicly to the allegations.
