Amadu Ali, the nephew of Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari, two security guys, named Nura Sufyanu and Kabir Ali, has been murdered in an automobile accident in Gadar Tsuntsaye, in the Musawa Local Government Area of the state.
Masari’s Director General of Social Media, El-Amin Isa, and the spokesperson for the Katsina State Police Command, SP Gambo Isah, verified the accident, which occurred on Friday.
Additional reports claimed that the victims, along with others, were on their way to the governor’s hometown, Kafur, for Saturday’s gubernatorial and state House of Assembly elections.
The sources say the collision was caused by the terrible road in the region.
A source stated, “The victims were about to arrive at a bridge in the region on Friday night when they ran into the terrible stretch of the road, which prompted the car they were riding in to slide and tumble, resulting in their death.”
Three people, who incurred injuries in the accident, first got care at the General Hospital, Malumfashi, before they were transported to the Federal Teaching Hospital, Katsina.
Plans had already started for their burial on Saturday, as the police officer stated the remains of the slain passengers were transferred from the site to a mortuary in Katsina.
Isah added, “The accident occurred on Friday night. The victims were heading to Kafur, the governor’s hometown for the governorship and state House of Assembly elections. We have carried the corpses of the victims to Katsina.”
Meanwhile, the electorate came out in big numbers at different polling units around the state as early as 7 am for the polls.
