Gigi Hadid has issued a statement in response to reports that her ex-boyfriend Zayn Malik is dating Selena Gomez.
The supermodel, 27, and the singer, 30, had an on-again, off-again relationship from 2015 to 2021, and they have a two-year-old daughter named Khai.
Their latest breakup became public in October 2021, following Zayn’s explosive feud with Gigi’s mother, Yolanda Hadid.
Zayn and Yolanda got into an argument in September 2021, and while he denied being physically violent, he pled no contest to four harassment charges.
He was barred from contacting Yolanda or the security guard who witnessed the altercation, and he was sentenced to an anger management course and 360 days probation.
Meanwhile, Selena and Zayn are said to be dating after TikTok user Klarissa Garcia shared a viral video in which she claimed a friend of hers works as a hostess at a restaurant where they dined together.
According to the TikTok user, Zayn and Selena were “comfortable together” while enjoying a secret romantic dinner date in New York last week.
According to a source, Gigi has expressed her support for the new romance.
“Gigi has no problem whatsoever with Zayn dating,” an insider told Us Weekly.
“She’s fine with whoever he goes out with as long as he’s happy and stable and continues to be a good co-parent to Khai.”
