The specific charges he faces are unknown, but they will be read in full when he appears at the Manhattan Criminal Courts Building on Tuesday at around 14:15 (19:15 BST).
According to some reports, the indictment includes around 30 charges related to a $130,000 (£105,000) payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels in an attempt to buy her silence about an alleged affair just prior to the 2016 election, which he won against Hillary Clinton.

Mr. Trump is expected to be released on bail and return to his Florida estate, Mar-a-Lago, on Tuesday evening, where he will deliver remarks at 20:15 local time.

“We’re prepared for this battle. And I’m looking forward to moving this along as quickly as possible in order to exonerate him “Joe Tacopina, one of his lawyers, told ABC News on Sunday.
