Sizemore’s manager, Charles Lago, confirmed to TMZ that the 61-year-old Detroit native’s medical team has recommended an end-of-life plan for the ailing actor.

The actor’s family, who played Sergeant Horvath in Steven Spielberg’s 1998 film Saving Private Ryan, is currently deciding on a course of action and will issue a statement indicating their decision when it is made.

‘We are requesting privacy for his family during this difficult time, and they would like to express their gratitude for the hundreds of messages of prayers and support that have been received,’ Lago said. ‘It’s been a trying time for them.’

Sizemore, who has appeared in films such as Natural Born Killers, True Romance, and Heat, suffered an aneurysm after a stroke on February 18 at his Los Angeles home, according to Lago.

In the medical incident, someone discovered the actor had collapsed, and emergency personnel were called to the scene shortly after 2 a.m. local time.

Sizemore was then taken to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit.

Sizemore was at his South Main Street apartment in Los Angeles when he suffered a brain aneurysm and became unconscious, according to Lago, who told FOX News on February 19.

‘He’s in the hospital,’ Lago explained. ‘His family is aware of the situation and wishes him well.’ It is too early to speculate on [a] recovery situation because he is in critical condition and being monitored.’

Sizemore’s condition was first reported by TMZ. His representative has not yet responded to DailyMail.com’s request for comment.

Sizemore’s most recent role was as a police detective forced to believe in the supernatural after witnessing a Civil War veteran’s deathbed confession in the new indie science fiction film Impuratus.
