The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) requested the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday to begin collation of Adamawa governorship election results and declare the party’s candidate, Ahmadu Fintiri, the election winner.
The party made the announcement during a news conference in Abuja led by its National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba.
Ologunagba stated that results posted on the INEC Result Viewing Portal (IRev) already showed Fintiri as the election winner.
“As a result, the PDP demands that INEC Headquarters immediately direct the Returning Officer to complete collation, announce the results from the Polling Units, and declare our candidate, Fintiri, the winner, having received the majority of lawfully cast votes,” he added.

“Fintiri clearly won the election based on the results already collated across the 69 Polling Units where the supplementary elections were held and which are available on the INEC Result Viewing (IReV) portal.”
“As a result, our party demands that INEC announce the results as they have already been collated from the Polling Units and declare Fintiri the winner as soon as possible.”
“Anything less will not be tolerated by our party or the people of Adamawa State,” he said.
Ologunagba termed INEC Adamawa State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) action as illegal, confirming the party’s earlier accusation of his collusion and call for his immediate dismissal.
He urged the Inspector General of Police to arrest the REC, Mallam Yunusa Ari, and bring him to justice for his actions.
