Spalletti received the Enzo Bearzot Prize on Friday in Naples, according to Football Italia.

Due to Napoli’s great play on the field this season, Spalletti won. The Partenopei might even win the Champions League since they are just a few weeks away from earning their first Scudetto in more than three decades.

Spalletti began his speech at the event by talking about his time at Napoli and the expectations he had for his club.

“When you see photographs of Napoli and Maradona, you are compelled to feel and hold a certain amount of pressure; it is a result of the people’s love and devotion.

Here, people live and breathe football, but there is still work to be done; I made a deal with the team, and they are very clear about it. Then we’ll decide whether to celebrate.

“If we’re talking about contemporary football, Di Lorenzo can fulfil several roles and multiple jobs.

“Di Lorenzo is incredible. He builds up with excellence, and when he moves inside the pitch, he even matches the level of the midfielders. When he advances up front with his excursions, he is the player who displays most on the other team’s line.

Each player’s growth as a player, when combined with their particular qualities, makes for a highly strong team. I’ll sum up by repeating what I said in the morning: “If you go to school, you dribble better,” he told the kids.

When asked how it felt to advance to the quarterfinals of the Champions League with the Partenopei, he said, “It’s something you have to experience completely; it hasn’t happened to me in 64 years! Some matches are so exquisitely beautiful that even the players themselves must exercise caution.
