A British boy was discovered dead with head wounds in a Thai forest, and authorities are now looking for his missing girlfriend.

Woramet Ben Taota, 16, went on a motorcycle ride with Yam, 16, on Saturday in his hometown of Lampang but did not return home.

On Sunday morning, local police claimed they got a tip that Ben had been found dead in a grove in the Ban Than district, with injuries consistent with blunt assault.

Officers stated that the teen’s phone and cash were missing from his shoulder bag, raising the possibility that he had been robbed. They assume he was murdered and abandoned in the woods since there were no traces of struggle. As of today, his partner has not been found.

According to Thai media, Ben’s body was discovered by a garbage collector who was at work on Sunday morning.

Police Colonel Sittisak Singtongla, superintendent of Mae Tha Police, stated, ‘The station received a notice at 10.15am that a deceased body was located in the undergrowth.’

A British lad, 16, was discovered dead in a Thai forest while police searched for his missing girlfriend.

Mae Tha Police Station and Lampang Provincial Investigation Teams, as well as forensics officials, forensic medicine physicians, and Tanna Krua Forest Rescue personnel, responded to the scene.

According to Thai media, the teenager was discovered with his back to a tree, wearing a black long sleeve T-shirt and pants.

According to police, the body has been brought to a hospital for an autopsy.

‘We are currently looking for people who knew the victim, including his female companion. She is significant in this case because she was the last person to see him alive.’

Ben’s mother, Ooy Taota, told police that her son bid farewell to her on Saturday evening and told her he was ‘going to work with pals,’ but he didn’t provide her any further specifics.

The missing girl’s parents were alleged to have ‘pleaded’ with the media to assist in the search for their daughter.

The police stated they are not ruling out any motives, and that the homicide may have been motivated by a love affair, a personal issue, or a job dispute.

‘We have not yet finalized the problem,’ said Police Colonel Sittisak.

‘It is still unclear whether it was a robbery because the deceased’s phone and cash were not found, but we cannot rule out other possibilities.’
