A 400-level student at Cross River State University (CRUTECH) was killed by gunmen on the school’s Calabar campus, gistpeople reports

Mr. Onen Onen, the institution’s Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident on Thursday, Feb. 9.
A student was killed. The VC will issue a statement on the matter, he said.
The gunmen, according to students, drove into the school and went straight to the Faculty of Engineering, where the victim was chatting with his friends.
When he saw them, the victim stood up and ran, but some of the gunmen exited the car and chased him down.
They fired at him, and when he fell, they moved in closer and fired again, until they were certain he was dead.
