Beyonce scooped two gongs at the BRIT Awards in London on Saturday, despite not being at the star-studded gala itself.

The singer, 41, received International Artist of the Year and International Song of the Year for Break My Soul.

Beyonce becomes the first Artist in history to win both International song and Artist categories at the BRITS And the only artist to win international Artist in 3 different decades; which makes her  the most-awarded International Female Artist ever with 6 wins

Beyonce, who just announced her Renaissance World Tour, thanks fans for the plaudits in pre-recorded video greetings.

Thank you so much for this great acknowledgement. I’d want to say thank you to all of my friends out there in Britain for your continuing support throughout the years,’ she told fans in her Artist of the Year address.

She added: ‘The Renaissance starts. I’ll see y’all on tour. Thank you very much for this distinction!’

It comes amid accusations that Beyonce was a no-show at the event because management couldn’t justify a £500,000 charge for a performance and to entertain her and her entourage in London.

According to a certain source: ‘Beyonce and her team requested six rooms at central London hotel the Corinthia, and supplies for an entourage of approximately 40 to put up her section of the performance’.

An insider said: ‘The entire production would have cost a lot. Beyonce and her crew required a massive team which would have included flights, lodging and other fees. It was simply not reasonable — the management believed that the lineup was already fantastic.’
