In an interview, Osuofia stated;
According to him, Nigerian films present real-life stories and events in their surroundings, and it is incorrect to compare the quality of Nigerian films to those from advanced countries.
According to him, Nigerian film producers only use technology imported from such advanced countries.
“We don’t have the technology, but we have the story,” says Woods.
“We are a third world country coming up, and people should give us kudos for the level we have attained.
“I believe, with the stories and creativity among us, if we get the needed technology, we will go places”.
The actor stated that with the available technology, Nollywood had advanced to the next level of development.
“If you check the time and how we started, you give kudos because we are making tremendous progress in the industry,” Osuofia, who rated Nollywood highly, said.
“With the kind of technology we have now, I believe Nollywood has a very far distance to go positively”.
He did, however, advise aspiring actors to be patient and to track their progress gradually.
“If it is not your calling, get out,” Owoh advised.
