Chris Hemsworth has discussed how his life has changed since learning he may be prone to Alzheimer’s disease.
The Hollywood hunk, 40, received the shocking revelation after completing a DNA test with Chris Hemsworth on the National Geographic documentary series Limitless last year.
The test found that he carries two copies of the APOE e4 gene, which is associated with an elevated risk of the devastating condition.
“As a young person, you’re continually believing you’re going to live forever. Then to be told that this may be the thing that takes you out, whoa—it kinda floored me,’ Hemsworth stated on the episode.
Chris changed his already comprehensive workout routines after the exam and now focuses more on his intellect.
He told Men’s Health that he was ‘incorporating more isolation into his life.’
‘I’ve always been quite consistent with my fitness obligations, but now I’ve recognised the value of having time for oneself without any outside voice or stimulation and making time for silence,’ she stated.
While exercise is crucial, the Thor star says he is focusing more on mindfulness work.
Chris also ensures that he gets enough regular sleep and that he takes ice baths on a regular basis.
Hemsworth has also made changes to his exercise routine during the last year.
