On Thursday, June 15, a 54-year-old finance executive was indicted for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl he met online inside hotel rooms in New York City and feeding her narcotics until she overdosed, according to New York City authorities.

According to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, Michael Olson was hit with a 17-count indictment for the alleged months-long abuse that was discovered May 26 when paramedics arrived to a Manhattan hotel to locate him and the girl, who had taken a combination of ketamine, cocaine, and Xanax.

The girl was taken to the hospital and survived, but Olson, who lives in Manhattan, was arrested.

A 54-year-old finance professional has been accused of drugging and raping a young kid at several hotels and even taking her on excursions as his daughter.

After posting a $1 million bond, he was released.

According to prosecutors, while on bail, Olson continued to contact minor girls despite the several accusations against him and the knowledge that he was being electronically watched.

A 54-year-old finance professional has been accused of drugging and raping a young kid at several hotels and even taking her on excursions as his daughter.

Olson’s only victim was the young teen he was discovered with. Prosecutors claim she was only one of many vulnerable young kids, particularly teenage Asian girls, on whom the accused serial abuser allegedly preyed.

According to the DA’s Office, Olson first targeted the 14-year-old in December 2022, when he discovered her Instagram page and reacted to a post she made about apparel being too expensive.

He allegedly then sent her a gift card and started paying her to spend time with him.

He allegedly raped the young girl multiple times over the next six months, giving her $700 per week in exchange for sex at hotels in Queens and Manhattan, according to the office.

Olson reportedly took the girl on vacations to Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Miami, pretending she was his daughter by purchasing her plane passes with her first name and his last name.

He was charged with five counts of second-degree rape, seven counts of aggravated patronising of a minor for prostitution in the second degree, two counts of criminal sexual act in the second degree, one count of facilitating a sex offence with a controlled substance, and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.

Investigators determined Olson had contacted multiple additional young teenagers in addition to the 14-year-old victim, and he worked with Dwight Mortgage Trust but is no longer recognised as an employee.

Prosecutors said at Olson’s arraignment in New York State Supreme Court on Thursday that his iPad, which was confiscated from a Manhattan hotel room, showed more victims.

“A search of an iPad that the defendant had with him that day revealed numerous other victims,” prosecutor John Fuller told the New York Times at the hearing.

“There were hundreds of screenshots from various Instagram accounts of young, Asian teenage girls that the defendant messaged.”

Fuller also claimed that Olson singled out girls who shared photographs of self-harm or complained about financial difficulties on the social networking platform.

According to the prosecutor, many of the girls specified their middle or high schools in their Instagram biographies, making their ages evident to Olson.

According to the story, Olson would message the adolescents with financial numbers of how much he would pay them to have sex with him, while also asking about their schools and taking trips together.
