A dad admits to being in charge of the husky dog that killed his three-month-old daughter.
On March 6, 2022, Kyra King was killed by her father’s out-of-control dog, Blizzard, in a forest in Lincolnshire, UM.
They had brought their infant out in her pram around 11 p.m., while racing their 19 husky dogs in the forest, when Blizzard escaped and attacked the baby.
Kyra died at the scene after suffering neck and head injuries. Vince King, 55, and Karen Alcock, 41, were both detained.
Vince pleaded guilty to being in control of the dog moments before his trial at Lincoln Crown Court on Thursday, June 1.

Vince, who had first rejected the charge, made the decision after consulting with his lawyer, Siward James-Moore.

In December of last year, Alcock, King’s former partner, pleaded guilty to the same allegation.
The court heard how the huskies were loaded into King and Alcock’s van, which had been modified to include locked cages for the canines.

One group of the dogs was employed for racing, and they were racing around the forest towing makeshift sleds.
Blizzard leaped over a partition separating the cages from the van’s front seats when the teams were swapped from the van.
The dog jumped out of the front passenger seat and attacked Kyra, who was outside the van in her pram.
Jeremy Janes said in court that it was ‘impossible to disentangle’ the couple’s participation in Kyra’s death because they were present at the scene.
‘No one had control over Blizzard because both were at the back of the vehicle preparing the second sled team,’ Janes explained.
‘By default, Mr King would be legally accountable as the owner of Blizzard.’
‘There is nothing to prevent a dog from moving from one part of the van to another.
