According to the Wall Street Journal, Epstein requested reimbursement from Gates for the cost of investing in Antonova’s coding education in a 2017 email.
According to the newspaper, the envelope arrived shortly after Gates declined to join the convicted sex offender’s multibillion-dollar foundation, which he was attempting to launch with US bank JPMorgan Chase.
Gates, 67, has admitted to and expressed sorrow for meeting with Epstein many times in the 2010s following Epstein’s conviction in Florida on charges of soliciting and hiring a child for prostitution as part of efforts to acquire money for the Gates Foundation.
“Mr. Gates met with Epstein solely for charitable reasons.” “After failing repeatedly to draw Mr. Gates away from these issues, Epstein attempted and failed to use a past relationship to threaten Mr. Gates,” a Gates spokesperson claimed.
The official further stated that Gates never paid the threat and had “no financial dealings” with Epstein.
Antonova told the Journal that when they met, she had no idea who Epstein was and assumed he was just a “successful businessman who wanted to help.”
“I am disgusted with Epstein and what he did,” Antonova stated, declining to elaborate on her alleged affair with Gates.
