EPL: 4 matches we could see shock results this weekend

Must read

The Premier League is nearing the end of its 2022/2023 season.

And, as is customary, there is something to battle over on every side of the table.

This weekend looks to be another thrilling installment.

Gistpeople features at least four games that could produce unexpected results.

1. West Ham vs. Manchester United: Erik Ten Hag’s team has struggled on the road this season. And their 1-0 defeat against Brighton on Thursday didn’t help matters. Regardless of the fact that the game-winning goal came in the 99th minute, Roberto De Zerbi’s side outplayed the Red Devils and deserved the three points. United face another difficult game at the London Stadium, this time against the Hammers, who will welcome back crucial players.

2. Manchester City vs. Leeds: Sam Allardyce made his Premier League debut this week, taking over for Javi Garcia at Elland Road. And the former Everton and West Bromwich Albion manager gave some intriguing soundbites, stating he is as good as City manager Pep Guardiola. Well, he might as well show it in his first game in charge at the Etihad, as he attempts to keep Leeds in the Premier League.

3. Bournemouth vs. Chelsea: Frank Lampard is still without a win as Chelsea’s interim manager, having lost his first six games in all competitions. If the Blues lose points at Bournemouth, it will be declared a crisis at Stamford Bridge. However, the Cherries have been in excellent form recently and are capable of pulling off another upset, like Wolves did in Lampard’s debut.

4. Liverpool vs. Brentford: In the rematch, the Bees stung Jurgen Klopp’s side, winning 3-1 at home. And, despite the fact that this game will be played at Anfield, you can’t bet on them getting points off Liverpool. The Reds are attempting to break into the top four this season, and this is a must-win game if they are to profit if Manchester United falters.
