The All Progressives Congress (APC) said on Thursday that President-elect Bola Tinubu is relaxing in Europe ahead of his May 29 inauguration.
This was revealed by Mr Felix Morka, APC National Publicity Secretary, on Channels Television’s Politics Today show.
Morka said Tinubu will be ready to go as soon as he returns from Europe.
When queried about Tinubu’s whereabouts, Morka stated, “He [Tinubu] is probably in Europe.” He’s all right. He simply chose to take a break after the elections and all of the energy he had invested.
“There will be no dulling once he returns and is inaugurated on May 29.” He’ll be tasked with overseeing a country the size and complexity of Nigeria.
“I’m sure he’ll be back in the country soon.”
“It is working rest because even in his rest, he is reaching out to heads of government and other levels of leadership of other countries that are vital to the agenda that he is bringing in his new government,” he added.
“So he’s not sleeping in his bed; he’s also meeting with people from all over the world who are coming to see him in preparation for his inauguration.” So it’s a business trip.”
Tinubu was named President-Elect by INEC after winning the Presidential election on February 25.
