A woman who had been missing for two days was fortunately discovered alive inside her submerged Jeep.
The woman disappeared with her vehicle on April 5 and was later reported missing by the Longview Texas Police Department.
However, a local fisherman at Lake o’ the Pines reported seeing a black vehicle under the surface roughly 40 feet from a nearby boat launch, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrived at the site quickly with a local wrecker service, where they discovered “a person was still in the vehicle and moving” as they began the recovery operation.
According to a police press release, “with the assistance of the wrecker service, fisherman, and Marion County deputies, a female was safely rescued from the submerged jeep.”

It went on to say that she was then transferred to a neighboring hospital by emergency medical personnel for treatment.
Authorities also published two photographs of the rescue effort, one of which showed how deep the vehicle had sunk and the other of which showed two men retrieving the woman from the lake.
People filled the comments section when cops posted the news on their Facebook page, saying how lucky the woman was to be alive.
“Looks like that fishermen was a godsend!” one person commented. She would have died if he hadn’t gone in that route!”
“Can we also recognize the jeep that saved her life?” wrote another. Because this is genuinely a divine deed,” said another.
“WOW!” said a third. If it was entirely submerged, she would have been underwater for quite some time! It’s a miracle she’s still alive.”
