The Abia State Government has stated that it has been made aware of a “contrived and careless Court Exparte Order” that purports to shut down the government by freezing all of its accounts in various financial institutions.

The government described the attempt as a rash move by misfits to bring the government to its knees and incite civil unrest in Abia State.
It also stated that no branch of government had the legal authority to ground the other for any reason.
Chikamnayo Eze, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, issued a statement on behalf of the State Government on Sunday in Umuahia.
Eze stated that a newly elected Governor should understand that he was elected for four years and could not interfere with an incumbent’s administration.

He revealed that plans were being made to harass, humiliate, and destroy Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu and the Peoples Democratic Party faithful in Abia State.
The statement went on to say that information available to the government indicated that more “thoughtless and illegal moves” were being planned to bring down the government of Abia State using what it called a “kangaroo, jankara Judgement” manufactured in faraway Abuja.
“The attention of the Abia State Government, and indeed all peace-loving Abians, has been drawn to a mischievous, contrived, and careless Court Exparte Order purporting to shut down the Government of Abia State through the freezing of all of its accounts in various financial institutions,” it read in part.
“This rash move by misfits ostensibly acting out a shady script written by a cowardly cacophony of overzealous political turncoats is intended to ground the government and incite civil unrest in Abia State.”
“The ongoing unintelligent and unprecedented blunder of shutting down the government of Abia State using a kangaroo, jankara judgement manufactured in faraway Abuja in the Okon Abang style is a clear signal of desperados’ mindset.” Unfortunately, information available to the government suggests that more such careless, illegal actions are on the way.”
