Sergio Aguero has hinted that Lionel Messi will return to Barcelona, stating that there is a ‘50%’ chance his former Argentina teammate will re-sign for his former club.
Messi’s 21-year association with Barcelona will come to an end in 2021, when he will join Paris Saint-Germain on a two-year contract due to Barca’s financial difficulties.

The World Cup winner is expected to be a free agent at the end of the season, with speculation that he will not stay in Paris.

The 35-year-old has been linked with moves to the MLS and David Beckham’s Inter Miami, as well as a lucrative deal to play in Saudi Arabia with Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, his close friend Aguero believes Messi would find it difficult to resist the temptation to return to the Nou Camp.

‘I think Leo Messi should retire at Barcelona,’ the former Manchester City striker told TyC Sports.
His home is Barcelona, and he should finish his career there. My gut feeling is that he will return 50 percent of the time.
