Many people were left speechless after the singer sent bouquets of roses to his senior colleague, Tiwa Savage, whom he appears to be crushing on.

Tiwa Savage took to Instagram to show off the lovely gift Omah Lay had given her.

His gift to Tiwa Savage elicits mixed reactions, as he also tweeted that he adores her. “I love Tiwa Savage as well,” he wrote.

Another reason for the outrage is that the “Soso” singer currently has a picture of Tiwa Savage as his Twitter profile picture.

However, the cute gesture set netizens’ tongues wagging, with many accusing him of having an affair with his senior colleague.

“Awww so cute!” wrote one Evargreat. “Should we prepare for another sextape?”

“They are probably about to release a song together,” one Faboulousgloria wrote. This is just a publicity stunt. Tiwa is the public stunt queen. It’s not something you should take too seriously.”

Quick Look Into Omah Lay’s Background 

It could be recalled that Omah Lay began singing at the age of 15 and then became a producer for a long time before returning to singing.

Omah Lay’s music has been described as a fusion of Burna Boy and Wizkid in one voice. His style can be described as Afro-Fusion.

Singles such as Hello Brother and Do Not Disturb, both released in 2019, marked his entry into the music scene, but it was “You” and “Bad Influence,” both from his debut EP Get Layd, that captured everyone’s attention.

Following the positive response to both singles, Omah Lay released the Get Layd EP, which included other songs such as Damn, LoLo, and Ye Ye Ye, on May 22 to rudder-stamped the endorsement of his talent.

His first single, which was released on February 14, 2020, was widely streamed across all major music platforms and went on to top charts such as Cool FM Tastemakers and Soundcity Top 20.

Omah Lay was mentioned in Native Mag’s March episode of ‘Fresh Meat’ as an artist to watch in 2020.

Omah Lay is signed to Dvpper Music and is the first African artist to be highlighted by Apple Music’s Africa Rising Initiative, a music and video streaming platform.
